BIMsummit 2016 is an event focusing on the issues of BIM implementation for general contractors. Real life problems and proven solutions will be discussed, providing the attendees insight to the BIM implementation process of already established companies.

 

Building Information Modeling has become the standard tool for architects and engineers. According to a research carried out in 2015 by Tallinn University of Technology, BIM workflows have not yet been widely implemented by the local general contractors, which is limiting the potential benefits of BIM over the building lifecycle.

BIMsummit aims to inspire the Estonian general contractors and clients to use BIM by sharing the expertise of international practitioners and opening a discussion between local stakeholders.
